A quaint bungalow set off the main street in Blackburn has been our home since lockdown. An entire renovation inside and out was required, in time for the new residents moving in. Read on to see the entire transformation!
In very good condition and although utterly spotless, this bungalow was in dire need of some renovation and modernisation.
It took an entire week to remove the old interior. All the carpets were lifted and even the old school wiring was removed. We replaced every single window and door in property with new ultra modern UPVC double glazed units. Even converting the living room window into new patio doors leading out to the garden was part of the renovation.
The kitchen was a definite double denim affair that would only have been popular in the 80s. With the walls, floors and even the ceiling, being made from pine. Renovation needed! In place of the pine a dark grey floor and worktop. The walls and units a much lighter white to brighten up the room. With no need for a large table and 4 chairs, a breakfast bar was added for the 2 main house dwellers.
Bedroom & En-Suite
More modifications were made in the master bedroom by removing the old partition into the en-suite. Putting in a new one that spanned the width of the room and giving a much large en-suite. Using nothing but HiB
products this allowed us to really showcase their products. The main showpiece being the 100% water and steam proof bluetooth speaker and light. With a handy remote you can control the music and even the colour of the lighting itself!
